HERRIMAN, Utah, Sept. 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Water service has been shut off in part of Herriman after a water main break and flooding.

“A water main has been breached near 134th South and Rosecrest Road,” a post on the city’s Twitter account says. The message was posted at about 10:30 a.m.

“The water main has been shut off, but water that was in the pipe unfortunately will continue to flow until emptied.”

Officials then tweeted that the city would try to help pump out basements.

“Herriman City crews have brought in a pump to assist in pumping water out of any basements affected by the water main break,” says a tweet that went up about an hour later.

“A handful of residents in the area and the Walgreens on Rosecrest Road and 134th South are without water,” the latest tweet says. “If you are without water, please be patient as crews work to restore water as soon as possible.”

Gephardt Daily will have updates as information becomes available.
