Weber County Sheriff: Suspect in hit-and-run has contacted officials

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 21, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber County Sheriff’s officials were searching for a suspect following a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening at the Maverik at 5153 S. Adams Avenue Parkway.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., said a Facebook post from Weber County Sheriff’s Office.

WCSO later updated the post: “The driver of the truck has reached out to the Sheriff’s Office and has been interviewed. Thank you for all the help!!!!”

According to the original Facebook post, “The suspect vehicle hit two pedestrians trying to walk across the parking lot while the suspect was backing out of a parking stall,” the post said. “The suspect vehicle left the gas station without stopping.”
