Weber SAR rescues hiker injured in fall on Ogden’s east bench

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 11, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was rescued Saturday night after he fell and was injured while hiking on Ogden’s east bench.

Weber County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue was called to the east bench foothills to find and assist the injured hiker, SAR said in a post on Facebook.

“It was reported that a male was hiking above the 24th street area when he fell over 15 feet and suffered several injuries,” the post says.

The man was located and was carried to the 22nd Street Trailhead with the help of Ogden Fire Department. He was then transported to a local hospital.
