Keeping Kids Safe
97.1 ZHT held their 17th annual Safe Kids Fair Saturday. The fair took place at the South Towne Expo Center from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. We saw fun for the whole family including activities, entertainment, freebies, music and games! The greatest part of the fair was that it was FREE!
Children were able to interact with the police dogs, play in the playground and check out the cool fire trucks. They could greet their favorite station personalities, ride around in the bike rodeo and even get some pictures with the station mascots.
Marvel’s very own Iron Man was there to take pictures, and give tips on being safe and why it can still be fun. One great aspect of being at the Safe Kids Fair was that the first 200 children at the event were able to get a free bike helmet.
We got to talk to some amazing people who were there helping children show how much fun safety can be. One person we talked to was Miss Utah. Her name is Nicol and she was there showing kids the correct way to wear a helmet and why children should always wear them while riding any type of bike or scooter.
