EMERY COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 14, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — The Emery County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of a road hazard that appeared Thursday morning on Interstate 70.

“Be happy you were not traveling on eastbound I-70 through Spotted Wolf near milepost 145 during the early morning hours of Thursday,” Sheriff Tyson Huntington wrote in a social media post.

“This behemoth of a boulder landed on the road creating a bit of a traffic hazard.

UHP Trooper Dakota Adams is standing next to the rock and ECSO Sergeant Wade Ryan is taking the picture — you can see Wade’s shadow on the rock.”

Huntington expressed gratitude to the agency that cleared the path.

“Thank you to UDOT for promptly clearing the road. Stay safe out there!”
