BRIAN HEAD, Utah, Nov. 16, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — Brian Head Ski Resort is delaying its opening date due to lack of snowfall and unusually warm temperatures, officials said Tuesday.

“While every effort has been made and snowmakers have been diligently at work, uncooperative weather momentarily has the upper hand,” said a news release from Brian Head Ski Resort. “A revised opening date will be issued just as soon as the weather breaks toward significant snowfall and favorable conditions. Brian Head Ski Resort will immediately post online.”

For those who have reservations in place or pending for the original opening weekend dates, Brian Head Guest Services is reaching out to everyone via email. If you have reservation questions, you can contact [email protected].

Brian Head Resort is located a short drive off Interstate 15 between Cedar City and Parowan.

Solitude Mountain Resort will also postpone its opening day for the ski season due to warm temperatures, it announced Tuesday. The new target opening date is Tuesday, Nov. 23.
