ROOSEVELT, Utah, Nov. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two men at a Halloween party north of Roosevelt.
According to a statement released by DCSO, deputies were called to a house near 1250 W. 850 North at about 12:15 a.m. When deputies arrived they found two deceased males.
The cause of death was not revealed, although “investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public,” the statement said.
Individuals who were still at the house when deputies arrived are being interviewed, while the search is on for an “unknown number of people who left the house before deputies arrived.
The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in its investigation by the Roosevelt Police Department, Bureau of Indian Affairs police, and the Duchesne County Attorney’s Office.
The Duchesne County Victim Advocate’s Office is providing services for individuals who were at the party and for the families of the deceased.
Anyone who was at the party or has additional information about this incident should contact the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office through Central Dispatch at 435-738-2424.
The names of the two males victims is currently being withheld.
The DCSO says an “update will be provided when additional information can be released without jeopardizing the ongoing investigation.”
