SAND HOLLOW STATE PARK, Utah, July 26, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 27-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital Saturday after he was pulled, unconscious, from the water at Sand Hollow State Park.
The man, from Tooele County, was swimming, but became fatigued and unable to continue, says a statement from the Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement.
Bystanders noticed the man and pulled him from the water. They initiated CPR, and first responders took over his care.
“The individual was transported by helicopter for advanced medical treatment,” the statement says. “His condition is currently unknown.”
The agency expressed gratitude to bystanders, and to Hurricane Valley Fire & EMS, Washington County Search and Rescue, and Intermountain Life Flight “for their rapid response.”
