SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, July 27, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A tribute and fundraising page has been created to help pay funeral costs for Damon Enman, who died Saturday after a knife attack in a residence in Park City.
Enman, 34, called dispatch on Friday, July 24, to report his own attack, in a residence on Deer Valley Drive, before he became unresponsive to the operator.
Enman was transported to the University of Utah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on July 25.
Austin Garceau, 38, was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked in the Summit County Jail. He and Enman were both Salt Lake County residents, the police report says.
The fundraiser, established by a relative of Enman, was created “to provide support for Damon’s family and parents as they navigate the days ahead,” it says.
“Damon lived with a spirit of love and generosity that touched so many lives. As we honor his memory, we hope to reflect the love and generosity he gave to all of us.”
“Damon was a true light in this world—a bright ray of sunshine whose love, laughter, and kindness touched so many lives,” the tribute says.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the incredible person he was.”
A celebration of life gathering is planned, the account says, with details to be announced.
“We want all who loved him to join us for this special celebration as we come together to remember and honor Damon.”
As in all cases, Gephardt Daily cannot guarantee funds donated will be used as stated, but the account is labeled as “donations guaranteed.”
