SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are trying to find a couple accused of robbing a woman and two small children at a Salt Lake City Car Wash Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 47-year-old woman was vacuuming her car at 4:21 p.m. at the VIP car wash, 1075 S. Redwood Road, when a female approached her to distract her while a man opened the victim’s driver door to take her purse.
Two young children were in the car at the time, and the man brandished a weapon, then took her purse. No one was injured in the incident.
One male suspect is described as Caucasian and in his 30s with grayish clothing. The female is Hispanic, about 25 years old, wearing a black blouse, and with tattoos on both hands.
The pair then drove off in a cream-colored 4-door sedan.
