Salt Lake police seek suspect who escaped on scooter after store robbery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect who robbed a market then escaped on a scooter.

The robbery took place at a market in the area of 1000 N. 1400 West at approximately 2:30 p.m., according to Salt Lake City Police Department Sgt. Brandon Shearer.

The suspect said he had a weapon but no weapon was seen, Shearer said.

According to scanner traffic, the suspect took an unknown amount of money in a grocery bag, then escaped on a push scooter. The only description of the suspect is that he has a black beard.
