UTAH COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 17, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 14-year-old girl was airlifted to a Salt Lake Valley hospital after she and five other Utah County juveniles were involved in an off-highway-vehicle (OHV) rollover Friday in the West Mountain area of the county.
First responders were notified of the incident, which happened at about 7 p.m. in an area west of Interstate 15 and east of Utah Lake.
“A 14-year-old female passenger was airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake County in critical condition,” says a statement issued by the Utah Division of Natural Resources of Law Enforcement Management.
“The 14-year-old male driver was transported to a Utah County hospital, then to a Salt Lake County hospital, with possible significant injuries,” the statement says.

“Two female passengers were also self-transported to Utah County hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The two other passengers, one male and one female, remained on scene and sustained minor injuries.”
The incident is under investigation, the statement says.

“We appreciate the response from LifeFlight, the Payson and Santaquin Fire and EMS teams, and the Utah County Sheriff‘s Office and Santaquin Police Department.
The post urged OHV riders to wear Department of Transportation approved helmets, to research the trail system before riding, and to “know the capabilities of your OHV.”
