Man stabbed after altercation near Liberty Park

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 24, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City Police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing near Liberty Park Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred outside a residence at 266 E. Hampton Ave., which is west of Liberty Park, just before 5:10 p.m.

“Two men got into an argument and one of the men presented a knife and stabbed the victim in the thigh,” according to a SLCPD news release.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The suspect is described as black man, wearing a blue or yellow shirt, brown pants and brown dress shoes.

The suspect got into a white Dodge Charger, driven by another man, and fled the scene.
