SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April, 2, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers are looking for suspects involved in an alleged drive-by shooting on I-15 Saturday afternoon.

UHP trooper Cameron Roden said the incident happened around noon when a man driving a semi-trailer south on I-15 near 3300 south said a green SUV drove up to him, and one of the men inside fired a shot at his truck.

“The suspects pulled off the freeway at the 7200 South exit and the victim got off at the 9000 South exit and called us,” Roden said. “We found a bullet lodged into the drivers side door. It didn’t actually go all the way through.”

Roden said the victim thought there were two, possibly three Polynesian males in the vehicle at the time but had no other description.

Anyone who may have information about the suspects is asked to call Utah Highway Patrol at 801-887-3800.
