Utah measles cases hit 482 this year, up 8 in past week

UTAH, June 9, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah measles cases have hit 482 since the beginning of the year, and are up eight in the past week.

The new eight cases are in Central Utah (up one case to 89); up Southwest Utah (up one case, to 265); in Wasatch County (up one case, to 12); in TriCounty (up one, to 74); and Utah County (up four to 114).

Of Utah’s documented measles cases since 2025, 582 have been in patients who were unvaccinated; 65 have been in patients who were vaccinated; and 32 cases have been in patients whose vaccination status is unknown.

A chart showing the cases from June or 2025 through now shows that weekly cases hit a high late this winter and early this spring. Reports of new weekly cases have mostly declined since the spring.
