AVONDALE, ARIZONA – July 25, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — An Arizona police officer’s random act of kindness is drawing smiles and praise from a worldwide audience.

The Avondale policeman was on patrol last week when he saw a mother struggling to carry a child while walking in the 100 degree heat.

The officer approached the mother, giving her and her two-month-old son a ride to a nearby Wal-Mart, where he proceeded to buy them a brand new stroller.

Kassie Schoberg was deeply moved by the patrolman’s generosity. She let the world know about it by way of Facebook.

“Just wanted to say thank you to @Avondale Az Police departments officer White for stopping me on my walk yesterday to Wal-Mart with my baby Xander giving us a ride and personally buying me a stroller for him. You didn’t have to stop me and do what you did but you did it anyways. You have a huge heart and my family is so thankful. If it wasn’t for you Xander wouldn’t have a stroller. He has been all smiles since yesterday. He’s loving every second of being in it having his own space and seeing the world as we walk everywhere. I can’t thank you near enough for what you have done not for me but for my 2 month old son. God bless you Officer White. You have many blessings coming your way. We are so blessed to have crossed paths with you.”

Avondale Police responded, “You’re Welcome! Our officers are great!”
