Feb. 28 (UPI) — A visitor to a Beijing safari park captured video of a black bear reaching into a car through an open window near a child passenger.

Weibo user JenniferSalvatore, who gave her real surname as Wang, said she was at the Badaling Wildlife World park in Beijing when she noticed a white hatchback in front of her was being swarmed by black bears.

Wang snapped photos and video of the bears pawing at the car, and the video shows one of the animals is able to reach in through a partially opened window in the back, where a child is sitting.

“Maybe the child was scared and they pressed the wrong button, but the window became bigger; and the bears all swarmed over. They’ve clearly stated you shouldn’t open the windows, why won’t these people just listen? Thankfully staff came over, so that the white car could drive away,” Wang wrote on Weibo.

The incident happened right next to a warning sign reading: “Treasure life, do not leave the car.”

Wang said other signs nearby instructed visitors to keep their windows shut.

“People really should stick to the rules. Those signs were all over the park,” Wang told the South China Morning Post.
