LONDON, OCTOBER 3, 2015 — (UPI) — Actor Alex Giannini has died at the age of 52.
“The talented and much loved actor @GianniniAlex died suddenly of natural causes yesterday,” his agent Felix de Wolfe tweeted Saturday.
Giannini’s film credits include Legend, Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Miss Monday. He also appeared in the British TV shows The Musketeers, The Bill and Dalziel and Pascoe.
The BBC said the actor died shortly before he was due on stage in Plymouth, causing Friday’s performance of Mack and Mabel to be canceled about an hour before curtain time.
His official website featured the message: “There will be one star shining twice as bright as any other tonight. Rest with the Angels Alex.”
