Bicyclist Critically Injured In North Temple St. Accident
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 11, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City bicyclist is in extremely critical condition after colliding with a pick-up truck on North Temple Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday night.
According to SLCPD Lt. Stefhan Benett, the bicyclist, who appeared to be in his twenties, was turning east onto North Temple from Main Street when he was broadsided by the westbound pick-up.
Bystanders performed CPR until paramedics arrived and rushed to the hospital.
Police say they are still trying to determine the cause of the crash although they say impairment does not appear to be a factor.
