
Teen Hiker Rescued After Farmington Canyon Plunge
DAVIS COUNTY, UTAH – May 14, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) –
A 19-year old hiker who fell more than thirty feet while hiking up Farmington Canyon has been rescued after spending the night on the side of a mountain with search and rescue teams.

According to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office, the man was with two friends when the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. They called 911 and were able to guide rescuers to their location.
Davis County Sheriff’s Sgt. DeeAnne Servey said medical teams were able to stabilize the injured the hiker, but decided to wait until Sunday morning to move him from the mountainside due to the darkness and dangerous terrain.
The hiker was finally pulled from the mountain by way of a Life Flight helicopter around 7 a.m. Sunday.
He was flown to the Intermountain Health Center where he is being treated for spinal injuries.
