OGDEN, Utah, Jan. 27, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — An afternoon fishing adventure took a tragic turn Monday, when two juveniles fell through the ice at Ogden’s Glasmann Pond.

Ogden City Police Lt. John Cox told Gephardt Daily the incident was first reported at 4:32 p.m.

One of the juveniles “was able to get himself out and was taken to a local hospital. He was treated, and we expect him to make a full recovery,” Cox said.

“The other juvenile ended up being below the ice for approximately two hours.

“Thanks to the heroic efforts of the Ogden Fire Department, the Washington Terrace Fire Department, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office and their search and rescue team, they were able to locate the juvenile, who was transported to the hospital, where they’re attempting life-saving measures.”
