Lagoon closes for the season due to freezing temperatures

FARMINGTON, Utah, Oct. 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington is closing early for the season due to the unseasonably cold temperatures.

“Due to the forecast of snow and freezing temperatures, and in the interest of safety and the difficulty of keeping equipment running, Lagoon is CLOSED Tuesday, Oct. 29 for the remainder of the 2019 season,” said a Facebook post from the park. “We apologize for the inconvenience and wish we could control the weather!”

The park was originally due to close its Frightmares Halloween-themed experience Wednesday, Oct. 30.

“Thank you to all of Lagoon’s loyal guests and employees for another incredible year,” the post said.

Wednesday’s high in Salt Lake City is forecast to be a chilly 32 degrees, with a low of 11 degrees.
