RICH COUNTY, Utah, June 8, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- A motorcyclist riding with a group died Saturday night after he collided with a cow.
Rich County Sheriff officials and a trooper from the Utah Highway Patrol were dispatched at 10:02 p.m. They responded to milepost 53 on State Route 39, a location in the Monte Cristo area.
"The accident caused the motorcycle to catch on fire," the Rich County Sheriff statement says. "Medical and fire personnel responded to the scene.
"The victim is a 27-year-old male," the release says. "His name is being withheld pending notification of kin."
Utah Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
