CLEARFIELD, Utah, Oct. 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An employee of an assisted living center in Clearfield has been booked into Davis County Jail on suspicion of six counts of abuse of an elderly or disabled adult.
Jason Harold Knox, 30, was booked Sunday on suspicion of the second-degree felonies, a probable cause statement says.
“When I arrived, I was shown video by the family members of a resident here,” says the statement, signed by Travis Glen Collings, Davis County Sheriff’s Office.
“In the video, you can see Jason Knox who is a certified nursing assistant, employed at Chancellor Gardens standing above the resident. In the videos, Jason is seen physically assaulting the victim by elbowing and shoving the victim against the wall.”
The recorded incidents happened at 11:16 p.m. Sept. 14, 11:59 p.m. Oct. 5, and 1:37 a.m. Oct. 7 of this year.
“I was able to place Jason under arrest. After I read Jason his Miranda Warning, Jason admitted to assaulting another resident on two separate occasions by elbowing her in the chest on approximately Oct. 5 around 4 to 4:30 a.m. and Oct. 6 around 4 to 4:30 a.m..”
“Jason was arrested and will be charged with aggravated abuse to a vulnerable adult for these reasons. Jason will be charged with six counts as these incidents occurred on six different occasions.”
