SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – August 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A semi pulling two trailers overturned on the I-80 to I-15 east interchange this morning, spilling diesel fuel on the freeway.
A spokesman for Utah Highway Patrol said the semi came into the curb too fast travelling eastbound, hit a wall, jack-knifed and turned over. Only the front trailer was loaded with cargo, and diesel fuel was spilled on the freeway.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
It is estimated that the freeway will fully re-open in around two hours.
UHP has dealt with around 20 rollovers or crashes this morning and is warning people to slow down in today’s wet, slick conditions.
