SYRACUSE, Utah, May 28, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — The Syracuse Police Department is asking for information on the whereabouts of a man described as a “suspect” in the assault of a 26-year-old woman who suffered critical injuries.
Police were called to the scene, near 2700 West and 3300 South, at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and found the woman, who “had sustained significant injuries,” the Syracuse PD statement says.
“She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. At this time, the victim’s name is not being released, and there is no further update on her condition.
“The suspect in this case has been identified as Daniel Herson Vazquez, age 34, with a last known address in Syracuse. Vazquez currently has an active warrant for a prior aggravated assault. The suspect is thought to be traveling in a black GMC truck, as shown in the photo.”
“While investigators do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public, we advise against approaching him.”
