SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Traffic is delayed after a semi rolled onto its side  at 3300 South Interstate 15 just beyond the southbound exit ramp.

The accident happened at about 1 p.m. and blocked multiple traffic lanes for several hours.

The rollover happened shortly after the Utah Highway Patrol released a statement on the five semi rollovers that had occurred the day before, which called all of those incidents “preventable.”

“UHP would like to remind trucking companies to create safety practices that encourage drivers to avoid feeling like they need to push their semi’s capabilities to its limits in order to meet time constraints on deliveries,” the statement said.
