Naser Moao, Majed Ali Hassan and Nuridin Ahmed Sharif, all from Kansas City, Missouri, were stopped late Sunday and arrested early Monday by an officer of the Utah Highway Patrol.
The trooper pulled over a white Chevrolet SUV traveling north on Interstate 15 for traveling too close to another vehicle.
According to a court documents, the trooper noticed jars that looked like those sold at marijuana dispensaries. The officer asked the men if they had medical cannabis cards, and they said they did not.
A warrant was obtained, and a search of the vehicle turned up 2,030 THC vape cartridges, a bottle of Oxycodone, and three glass jars containing a leafy substance consistent with marijuana, the statement says.
Moao, Hassan and Sharif were arrested on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance.
