UHP: Three arrested after Iron County traffic stop, discovery of 2K vape cartridges, other drugs

CEDAR CITY, Utah, Oct. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Three Missouri men were arrested after a traffic stop near Cedar City when Utah Highway Patrol officials say they found more than 2,000 THC vape cartridges.

Naser Moao, Majed Ali Hassan and Nuridin Ahmed Sharif, all from Kansas City, Missouri, were stopped late Sunday and arrested early Monday by an officer of the Utah Highway Patrol.

The trooper pulled over a white Chevrolet SUV traveling north on Interstate 15 for traveling too close to another vehicle.

According to a court documents, the trooper noticed jars that looked like those sold at marijuana dispensaries. The officer asked the men if they had medical cannabis cards, and they said they did not.

Moao, Hassan and Sharif were arrested on suspicion of distribution of a controlled substance.
