WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Oct. 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah Highway Patrol troopers pulled over a driver on I-215 in West Valley City who was traveling three times over the legal limit and driving at more than 100 mph on Sunday morning.
“Whew! Close call…104 mph!!! Sgt. Moreno was able to get this driver stopped just after 8 a.m. this morning near 3500 South I-215 west side belt,” said a tweet from Utah Highway Patrol.
“Trooper Gallegos took over a DUI investigation on the driver… preliminary results show they were over three times the legal limit (0.176 BAC).”
The driver of the vehicle has not been identified.
A follow-up tweet added: “So fortunate Sgt. Moreno got them stopped before they killed themselves and/or someone else.”
