WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH – MAY 1, 2015 (GEPHARDT DAILY) – West Valley City Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for a robbery last night at the Taco Bell located at 2450 S. 1700 West.

According to Roxeanne Vainuku, West Valley City Police Spokesperson, the Taco Bell had just closed for the night and employees were there cleaning up when the manager exited the south door of the store to get supplies from a freezer that is located just outside the door.

“As this manager walked back in, a male adult with a gun followed him. The suspect demanded that the manager give him the money that was in the store’s safe,” said Vainuku. She further stated as the manager was opening the safe, the suspect then struck him in the back of the head with the butt of the gun causing minor injuries.

After giving the suspect the money the suspect then fled. “We are working to obtain surveillance video at this time to help identify him,” said Vainuku.

The suspect has been described as a white male, 5’9″ with a medium build, wearing a gray bandana, navy blue sweatshirt and black pants. Anyone with any information about the robbery or the suspects are urged to contact West Valley City Police (801) 963-3300.
