The last thing you expect when you’re heating up a waffle or Pop-Tart is your toaster oven to explode but that’s exactly what some Black and Decker toaster oven owners are reporting.
12-year-old Karson in Portland tells KATU she’s upset her toaster oven exploded without warning, causing a big mess, and almost causing, “I could have gotten a piece in my eye.”
Karson with the help of KATU found that more than 12 complaints have been filed with the Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding different Black and Decker toaster models. 12 other complaints filed by consumers say some models even started fires. No recalls have been issued for any of the models.
