March 4 (UPI) — Film star and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he won’t return for a second season as host of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Schwarzenegger took over NBC’s business competition series after its creator and longtime star Donald Trump went on to run for and win the U.S. presidency. Trump is still listed as an executive producer of the series.

“I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett. Everyone — from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department — was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement Friday.

EW.com quoted NBC insiders as saying no decision has been made yet regarding whether it will renew The Celebrity Apprentice with a new host.
