SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 28, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating after two armed robberies at Salt Lake City 7-Eleven convenience stores just 10 minutes apart early Thursday morning.
The first robbery occurred at 7-Eleven at 776 S. 1300 East at 2:01 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.
The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money, the news release said. The clerk complied and the suspect left the store.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, wearing a brown hoodie with a black shirt under the hoodie, a baseball hat with a gray bill, and wire rim sunglasses. The suspect got into the rear of a white four-door sedan with black trim.
Exactly 10 minutes later, at 2:11 a.m., a man entered the 7-Eleven at 535 E. 1700 South, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The clerk again complied and the suspect left the store.
The suspect in the second robbery is described as Hispanic, short and stocky, wearing a light-colored hoodie, sunglasses, blue jeans and brown shoes.
