SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Sept. 4, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An LDS Church meeting house on the west side of Salt Lake City was found to be vandalized on Tuesday morning.

Damage was done to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ church at 954 S. Fremont Ave.

Detective Greg Wilking, Salt Lake City Police Department, told Gephardt Daily that it was hard to tell what the one or more perpetrators intended, because entry was never gained.

“Right now it’s vandalism,” Wilking said. “The person threw some rocks at a door, but couldn’t get in. The person then threw some rocks at a higher window, breaking it, but not getting in.”

Damage is limited, as is evidence, Wilking said.
