SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 8, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after a Maverik gas station was robbed Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at the Maverik at 710 E. 2700 South just before 7:25 a.m, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release Monday.

“A man entered the business and demanded money while putting his hand in his coat pocket stating he had a gun, however no gun was seen,” the news release said. “The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Asian man, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a mustache and possible light goatee, wearing a green hooded coat with fur trim, khaki pants and black high top shoes with white soles.
