Multiple fire agencies respond to WVC fire

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Sept. 30, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Approximately 30 firefighters from four agencies responded to a house fire overnight in West Valley City.

“WVCFD arrived within two minutes of being dispatched to a home with heavy fire coming from the garage, roof, and back of the home,” the agency said on social media.

“Approximately 30 firefighters from our department, Unified Fire Department, West Jordan Fire Department, and Salt Lake City Fire Department brought the fire under control in under 20 minutes.

“Two dogs were found alive in the structure; a third dog was found outside. All dogs were reunited with the home’s residents.”

No injuries were reported to firefighters or residents of the house, the West Valley City Fire statement says.

“The home is a complete loss.”
