WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Aug. 2, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a late night shooting Saturday in West Valley City.
According to Sgt. Fife, West Valley City PD, officers were dispatched to a residence near 2000 W. Stone Creek Drive about 11:35 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound, Fife told Gephardt Daily. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
The shooting reportedly took place during a confrontation between two adult males.
“One of the individuals pulled out a firearm and shot the other before fleeing the scene,” Fife said.
Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect, although police know the shooter’s identity.
No one else at the residence was injured, authorities said.
