PROVO, Utah, Aug. 1, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was killed and a man injured in a rollover crash early Friday morning along a remote mountain road near Provo.
According to a news release by the Provo Police Department, at approximately 7 a.m., Provo police were notified that a 33-year-old man had checked in at a local emergency room with head and leg injuries. The man told medical staff his vehicle had rolled off Khyv Peak Road and that another person remained inside the wreckage, unresponsive.
Officers arrived at the crash site and located the overturned vehicle about 50 yards off the roadway, police said. A woman was found dead inside the vehicle.
The Provo Police Department’s traffic accident team closed the road for about six hours while processing the scene.
The identity of the woman has not been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
