March 22 (UPI) — “The Walking Dead” alum Steven Yeun is a first-time dad.
The 33-year-old actor, who played Glenn Rhee on the AMC series, welcomed a baby boy with wife Joana Pak on March 17, E! News reported Tuesday.
Yeun and Pak married Dec. 3 in Los Angeles with the actor’s former “Walking Dead” co-stars Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride and Chandler Riggs in attendance. News broke just days later that the couple were expecting their first child.
“February,” Pak captioned a photo of her baby bump Feb. 4.
Yeun starred on six seasons of “The Walking Dead” before Glenn was killed off in the Season 7 premiere. He addressed the character’s death in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in October.
“It came with its own set of difficulties,” the actor said of keeping the plot point secret.
“I think Glenn died in a very Glenn way,” he added. “Still not thinking about himself. It’s appropriate that he ends there, and it’s also appropriate that he kind of puts those last words out there as a final ‘look out for each other.'”
Yeun last starred in the film “Mayhem,” which opened this month. He will next appear in the Netflix movie “Okja,” which co-stars Ahn Seo-hyun, Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal and Lily Collins.
