LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2016 (UPI) — Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly headed for divorce.
News outlets including CNN, TMZ and E! are reporting that the 41-year-old actress filed for divorce from the 52-year-old actor Monday after two years of marriage and more than a decade together.
The two became a couple in 2004, when they co-starred in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” At the time, Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston, who filed for divorce in 2005.
Jolie and Pitt tied the knot at their Château Miraval estate in Correns, France, in 2014. The couple share six children: Maddox, Pax, Knox, Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne.
According to TMZ, Jolie is requesting physical custody of the children. TMZ is also reporting the split was motivated by differences in parenting styles and concerns about substance abuse.
Pitt and Jolie were last seen together in public in July. Court papers reportedly list the first day of the legal separation as Sept. 15.
