TONTITOWN, Ark., July 26 (UPI) — Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are engaged following a whirlwind courtship.
The 22-year-old reality star and 28-year-old former soccer pro announced the news in a video on the TLC website Tuesday. The couple will share wedding details on the new season of “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.”
“I have the most exciting news to share — we’re engaged,” Duggar said in the video. “I cannot believe that I’m engaged to the man of my dreams, the man that I asked God for. God is so kind.”
“It’s really hard to put into words how I feel. I’m really just over the moon,” Vuolo gushed. “I couldn’t be happier and so grateful to God for giving me such an incredible woman. She said yes!”
Duggar and Vuolo had revealed in June that they were officially courting. The reality star hails from a conservative Baptist family and entered a formal, supervised courtship — with no kissing until her wedding day — as a lead-up to marriage.
“So excited to share this news that we are now engaged,” she and Vuolo told People. “We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together.”
Duggar and her family came to fame onĀ “19 Kids & Counting,” which was canceled in the wake of her brother Josh Duggar‘s sex abuse scandal. She and several of her siblings, including Jill and Jessa Duggar, now star on “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.”
