DETROIT, Michigan, Feb. 21, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Michael Bay’s fifth go-round in the “Transformers” universe has begun in Detroit.
Bay, the film’s director, has begun the casting process for the film which will be shot in Detroit and London. Stars Mark Wahlberg and Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime) will.
The pre-production has already started, and casting calls have been sent to Detroit talent agencies. The production team is looking for supporting actors, as well as extras for the movie who will be shooting in both locations.
“Transformers 5“ will open in U.S. theaters on June 23, 2017, followed by two more “Transformers” films in 2018 and 2019.
