ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK, Utah, July 23, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The new wildfire sparked on Antelope Island Tuesday afternoon is already estimated at 50 to 100 acres.
“Cause is under investigation,” a UtahFireInfo statement said of the blaze, named Antelope Fire and first noted on the site at 2:14 p.m.
“The visitor center is not threatened, but it has been evacuated. Air resources are utilizing retardant to support ground resources on the scene.”
The park is fully closed, according to a graphic shared on Utah Fire Info.
