IRON COUNTY, Utah, July 9, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Iron County deputies responded to Old Irontown, an unincorporated area in the county, in response to an incident Monday in which one man was injured by a bull and two others were involved in an altercation, an ICSO statement says.

“Upon the arrival of Gold Cross Ambulance personnel, Life Flight services were initially requested for the injured individual. However, after assessing the victim’s condition, it was decided that the individual could be transported by ground ambulance,” the Sheriff Department news release says.

“The two men involved in the altercation opted not to press charges. The brand inspector was informed, and located the bull’s owner. Subsequently, the bull was removed from populated areas.

“Upon clearing the call, the deputies took no further action.”

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office thanked emergency responders and the people involved “for their cooperation and quick resolution of the incident.

“Moving forward, they emphasize the importance of exercising caution around animals and reporting any related incidents to the appropriate authorities.”

No other details were released.
