BEAVER COUNTY, Utah, July 9, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Little Twist Fire stands at 5,096 acres and 45% contained, and a new order reopens one area previously closed.

“Firefighters are working diligently to hold & improve containment lines,” says an update from Utah Fire Info. “Interior pockets of fuel within the fire will continue to burn and produce smoke that will be visible in the South Creek area from both Beaver & Piute counties.”

The new closure update reopens Anderson Meadow Campground & Anderson Reservoir to the public.

“Safety for the public, and fire personnel remains a top priority,” the statement says. “Forest Road 137 (Kents Lake Road) remains open.

“Please use caution while driving & minimize the amount of time along the section of road between Upper Kents Lake & LeBaron Campground.”
