May 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A North Ogden man died Friday night when his Toyota Camry veered off state Route 40 near Strawberry Reservoir and went down a steep embankment.
Utah Highway Patrol said in a news release that Joseph Martin, 33, was traveling eastbound on SR-40 at mile marker 49 when his vehicle went to the right, off the road and rolled several times down the embankment.
Officials said Martin was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. He died at the scene.
Martin was the only person in the vehicle. UHP said alcohol or other impairment is being investigated as a factor in the crash.
