IRON COUNTY, Utah, July 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Third Canyon Fire, burning in remote Iron County southwest of Minersville, was relatively inactive overnight due to higher humidity levels, Utah Fire Info says.
The wildfire, now determined to have been caused by lighting, was estimated Friday at 400 acres. The flames are being fed by brush and grass, Utah Fire Info says.
“Yesterday, strong winds increased the fire spread,” the Utah Fire Info statement says, adding that on Saturday, firefighters “expect to make progress in containment.”
