SEVIER COUNTY, Utah, July 30, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Dry Wash Fire, sparked Saturday in Sevier County, is now 60% contained, an update from Utah Fire Info says.
“Minimal fire behavior was observed over the fire area yesterday,” the statement says. “Crews will continue to secure line & monitor in the coming days until full containment is reached. Last report.”
The fire, a mile south of Fremont Indian State Park, had previously been described as smoldering, and fueled by timber and dried grasses.
The last fire estimate said it had burned 226 acres.
