WEST JORDAN, Utah, June 5, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A man who was the subject of a Silver Alert issued Tuesday has been found dead.
Douglas Steadman, 58, was last seen on May 31. He suffered from early onset dementia, and had left, reportedly heading for a Manti car show, without taking his required medicine.
“Steadman has been located in the area of Utah Lake,” says an update issued by West Jordan Police. “Steadman was located deceased.”
“Utah County Sheriff’s Office will be handling this investigation pending the outcome of a report from the Office of the Medical Examiner; however, no foul play is suspected at this time
“We appreciate the response from the community and fellow law enforcement agencies in their efforts in locating Steadman. We offer our sincere condolences to the loved ones of Douglas Steadman.”
