ST. GEORGE, Utah, Dec. 12, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — St. George and Washington County K-9s located 27 pounds of suspected cocaine and marijuana on a Greyhound bus Monday.

A Facebook post from St. George Police Department said Washington County Sheriff’s K-9 Vinny, partnered with St. George City PD K-9 Emma, deployed onto a Greyhound bus. The K-9s and their handlers were assisted by a Greyhound employee.

“Both dogs displayed a positive alert/indication to the odor of illegal narcotics on the same item of luggage stored on the bus,” the post said. “Approximately 14 pounds of suspected cocaine and 13 pounds of marijuana were located and seized from inside the luggage.”

The post added: “This is just one example out of many that show how these well trained and hard working dogs benefit our community each and every day.”
